Dave was a normal kid growing up in England, or so he thought. He grew up in what could be called a normal environment, until his Dad left for America one day with no pre-warning. Dave was left with a heartbroken mother, the departure couldn't have come at a worse time either, his mutant powers were just beginning to develop at a remarkably young age. His mother, unable to cope with the loss of her husband suffered from depression, leaving David on his own, having to grow up fast. He began to slack in school, reaching breaking point at the start of secondary school when his powers took a jump. People found out about his powers and his life turned around for the second time. He and his mother were treated like many others, she lost her mental stability, becoming so withdrawn that she couldn't do anything about Dave's degrading schoolwork. His life in England reached a climatic end when his mother was put in a mental home, he was sent to live with his Grandparents (who were big anti-mutant activists) and he was nearly abandoned in the street. News had reached his grandmother of his father. In New York city. He was shipped off after he completed his basic schooling, having a choice. Find his father, or get rid of his powers.
